Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Orietta recently married an American citizen and relocated to Northern California conveniently close to the wine country!

Orietta started tasting wine when she was only five years old when her grandpa educated her about the family vineyards and wine making. She started cooking at her mother’s side at an early age learning the secrets of Italian dishes. Her first assignment was gnocchi curling. Orietta is particularly passionate about wine and food; and she is serious about transferring her knowledge to others, this is why she created DI.VINO.

Orietta Graduated cum laude in Film Studies, has a Masters Degree cum laude in Cultural Journalism, a Diploma of Sommelier from the Associazione Italiana Sommeliers, she is a member of the Italian Journalist Union and the Italian Actors Guild.
Orietta had various experiences in Acting (Theatre and Movies) and Production. On Italian Television she hosted, co-Wrote and co-Produced several TV shows.

Today, Orietta works as a journalist full time; she is the Food &Wine Editor for Fuori le Mura.it, the Correspondent in English for Iniziativa.it. Her first book will be available on the bookshelves by the end of March 2010.

In 2002 Orietta received the Special Critics Award from Edenlandia/Comune di Roma.
